Position: Office Administration Coordinator
Reports to: Events Manager, Eastern Canada
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Member of the planning, logistics and implementation of Canadian Outback Event Operations
- Recruitment, screening and scheduling of front line staff pool for all itineraries in conjunction with Operations Coordinator
- Execution and coordination of event and office financial transactions
- Coordinating bi monthly payroll
- Coordination of entertainment events
- Research, development and maintenance of supplier relationships
- Identification, development and maintenance of event equipment and supply needs
- Identification, development and maintenance of office supply needs
- Work method analysis, development and regulation
- Assist Event Operation Manager with identifying and constructing solutions to department’s key challenge areas
Qualifications:
- Computer skills in all Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and Publisher)
- Respondent must possess extraordinary attention to detail
- Previous cash handling experience
- Previous human resources experience an asset
- Previous event planning experience preferred

So you want to be a whitewater raft guide? This program is designed as a training program for individuals wishing to obtain a commercial river rafting license. It prepares students to take the examinations (written and practical) required by the Federal Government before issuing a guide license. Quite often we recruit the best and brightest graduates to join our guide roster for the summer. Raft Guide School

May 1 - September 15 2008 (Seasonal Contract Position) | Squamish, BC
Opportunity:
We are looking for 4 to 6 people to fill various driver itineraries throughout the rafting season.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Transportation of clients to/from COA Squamish base (from Vancouver & Whistler)
- River shuttles for all itineraries
- Vehicle maintenance (pre-trip inspections, fuel, cleaning)
- Assist in equipment preparation
- Key member in emergency response procedures and protocols
- Rafting photography
- Assist base staff when necessary
- Perform other duties as they are assigned
- Be prepared to work unusual hours
Requirements:
- Detail oriented and excellent work ethic
- Ability to work independently and assume responsibility
- Strong communicative abilities
- Class 2 drivers license (COA will pay for licensing for select candidates)
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have an outgoing, confident personality
Remuneration:
- $50.00 - $120.00 per trip depending on trip itinerary
- Opportunity for multiple trips per day
