Your Heli-Rafting adventure can begin in your choice of two places. For those coming up from Vancouver, you'll hop aboard your
super sleek helicopter
just a
short drive away from the COA Rafting Base at the quaint Squamish
Airport. Those coming from Whistler can either depart directly from the Whistler Helipad (additional fee, call for quote) or come down to the Squamish Airport.
From there you’ll hop aboard a helicopter and
embark on a breathtaking tour over the very same jade-tinted river terrain you
will experience following the flight. The fully narrated experience
will allow you to gain a whole new perspective of the lush
green valleys, snow capped mountain peaks, dormant volcanoes, thunderous waterfalls,
diverse wildlife and spectacular Squamish and Elaho rivers.
You’ll marvel at the beauty that you may previously
have only been able to experience from the ground up.
Your flight concludes at the put in spot
where your spectacular whitewater rafting adventure will begin.
Our talented team of professional river guides will teach you the skills necessary to maneuver through exciting Class 3-4 rapids including the challenging “Devil’s Elbow” section, used for Mark Burnett's 1996 Eco-Challenge Adventure Race. If you’re up to the challenge depending on water levels you’ll have an opportunity to jump off a cliff high above the river (a Canadian Outback exclusive), swim through rapids, and showcase your cowboy talents in our entertaining “Raft Rodeo” event.
Along with some of North America’s most exhilarating rapids, your 2-3 hour river journey will take you through approximately 16 kms (10 miles) of British Columbia’s most inspiring wilderness. Don’t forget to take time to reconnect with our world-class scenery including old growth forests, dormant volcanoes, towering glaciers, and stunning waterfalls that cascade hundreds of feet toward the river. If you’re really lucky you’ll get a glimpse of the local deer, beavers and bears which often stop by the river’s edge.

If you’ve flown into Vancouver or Whistler and don't have a rental car, your rafting adventure package will include transportation to and from our rafting base or the Whistler Heliport.
Be sure to ask us about picking up a souvenir photo of your enjoying your adventure or a rafting t-shirt to remember the day. And don’t worry about going hungry. The banks of the Squamish River provide a perfect setting to re-energize with a light snack midway through your journey. Following your adventure we’ll take you back to our fully-equipped adventure base where you’ll be able to change back into your own clothes and enjoy our deluxe Outback BBQ lunch or dinner at no extra cost. A delicious vegetarian meal option is also available.
