Modeled after the popular television reality series, "The Apprentice" is a facilitated team building program everyone will enjoy - with the benefit going both to your team and to local kids!
Each team will begin by building a bike for either a boy or a girl. Teams will be donating these bikes to deserving children (at a charity to be agreed) so the assembled bikes will need to be made with care, in working order and must be checked thoroughly by a trained event host before this portion of your task is deemed complete.
Once the basic bikes are assembled, teams will use the materials provided to enhance and customize the bike and helmet. Be creative and have fun.
Finally, each team will create an original and innovative advertising campaign to sell their custom creation. Teams will use the materials provided to produce a print campaign and must be prepared for a live presentation if asked. The top three campaigns as chosen by the judges will be asked to present a 2 minute advertising spot to the entire group. The winning team will be decided by popular vote.
Teams will have two hours to complete the objective. Judging takes place after 2 hours whilst teams are encouraged to view the efforts of other groups. The live presentations will begin after this time and will last for approximately 15 minutes. Deliberation and prizing will be based upon audience feedback.
Pre session briefings and ongoing facilitation throughout the event will ensure that this event exceeds your expectations.
World Café Conversations are an intentional way to create a living network of conversation around questions that matter. A Café Conversation is a creative process for leading collaborative dialogue, sharing knowledge and creating possibilities for action in groups of all sizes.
The challenges of life in the 21st Century require us to find new ways to access the wisdom and intelligence inherent in groups both small and large. The need for collaboration, insight and coordinated action has never been greater. Café Conversations are one way that communities, businesses, governments, and people from all walks of life are using to create a common purpose, share knowledge, make more intelligent decisions, and call forth life-affirming action together.
In World Café, the formulation of powerful questions is a fundamental art and skill. Questions like "What's important to you about this situation, and why do you care?" and "What are we not seeing (or talking about) that is vital to our progress?" can open up new possibilities and energy. Our professional facilitators will help your team to seek out their own answeres to these and other questions.
The seven design principles of World Café are:
- Set the context
- Create hospitable space
- Explore questions that matter
- Encourage everyone's contribution
- Cross-pollinate and connect diverse perspectives
- Listen together for patterns, insights, and deeper questions
- Harvest and share collective discoveries
